What Happened to Vijay? By kickntrue on 5/21/10

I can't believe my eyes. Well, maybe I can. Vijay Singh fell out of the top 50 for the first time since 1992, nearly two decades ago. The only man to interrupt Tiger Woods' reign at No. 1 still has one week to get back inside that cut line and reserve a spot in both the U.S. Open and British Open. The real winner in this is the HP Byron Nelson Classic. Vijay and a few other guys have to finish in the top 5 or they will have to qualify for the U.S. Open and the British Open the old fashion way - they'll have to play for it! And that's not something Vijay is accustomed doing. The added pressure for Vijay this weekend will probably make the tournament a little more interesting. Plus, some of the guys inside the top 50 may up their game to try and force Vijay into the qualifying rounds. I'll be tuning in on Friday to see if he makes the cut and then again on Sunday to see where he finishes. Full Story photo source [ comments ] no comments posted yet. [ post comment ]
