Steve Williams Beats Tiger Woods By mustang6560 on 8/8/11
Does David Feherty know Adam Scott is the person who won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational? Based on his post round interview with Steve Williams, I'm not sure. Or maybe, he was interviewing the true winner.
In the interview with David, Steve made the blanket statement, "I've caddied for 33 years, 145 wins now and that's the best win I've ever had". Ouch, did you get that Tiger? He was talking to you. He won seven (7!) times with you at Firestone alone, but his one victory with Adam was better. Whether or not Adam Scott wants to acknowledge it, his victory Sunday was much bigger for Steve than it was for his career. What better way to show your old boss you're doing OK than to win with your new boss in the first competition against each other? The only way Adam's victory would have been better for Steve was if he and Tiger would have been paired together for the final round and Adam edged out Tiger down the stretch. It's very apparent Steve is still upset up over his split with Tiger. He's kind of acting like a junior high school girl who's boyfriend broke up with her and the world is coming to an end. I do feel bad for Adam because his eighth victory on the PGA Tour was overshadowed by the Tiger-Steve drama. His victory was very impressive. Not only did he win, but he ran away from the field carding a final round 65. We'll see if Adam can bottle up his mojo from the Bridgestone and take it into the PGA Championship this week at the Atlanta Athletic Club. Video photo by Keith Allison [ comments ]
What's the different between Stevie and a tick....the tick don't cry when it lose the host its been living on lol. 8/8/11
Joe Sal says:
How much is Tiger paying Steve to act out in this manner? How soon will the public see Tiger as a "victim". I think the sponsors and the Media can't wait to see Tiger reborn and capture all of his former glory. Are we dumb enough to fall for this charade?... Probably. 8/8/11
Ask any caddie out there....Tiger has such a high golf IQ that he really doesn't even need a caddie other than someone to carry his sticks. Stevie made himself sound like a bitter old man. He can say what he wants, but winning the WGC event last week is not better than any of the 13 majors Tiger won. He is just upset because he got fired. We will never know the real reason why, but it is what it is and Stevie needs to grow up. 8/9/11
Just remember that Steve knows all about Tiger's past. He could let lose with a lot more than "we won and you didn't". 8/9/11
Tigers still the boss and Steve's the grunt. In the end Stevie is only a thread away from the next boot. Tiger will be back! 8/9/11
And by the way. Nobody would know who the hell Steve Williams is if not for Tiger. FYI! 8/9/11
From my seat on the sideline, Adam Scott seemed a little ticked in his post tourney interview that Steve used his win to further his own agenda. I think Steve may need to be concerned about being fired again. 8/9/11
