Adam Scott To Include Golf in House Sale By Torleif Sorenson on 2/5/14
Adam Scott may be very successful on the golf course, but when it comes to real estate, the 33-year-old Aussie apparently still has some learning to do.
He is selling his 10,000 square-foot Mediterranean-style villa on Saadiyat Beach in Abu Dhabi. The asking price is AED 22.9 million, roughly equivalent to A$7 million or US$6.2 million. And to sweeten the pot, he is throwing in a round of golf to whoever buys the place: "Whether the round of golf takes place in Abu Dhabi or on one of the courses in America or Australia, Adam will definitely honour the commitment to play," said Andrew Colvill, the head of investment sales at LLJ Property, which is marketing the property.Scott bought the villa in 2008 for roughly the same amount of money; his original idea was to use it as a base while playing the European Tour. The problem is that Scott has never actually lived there; his career path took a dramatic upswing that led him away from spending time in Abu Dhabi. (Slightly.) Back in December, Scott managed to sell his two-level, luxury apartment in Surfers Paradise, Queensland. In the sale, Scott took a A$1.94 million loss.
