Amateur aces 16 in Phoenix pro-am By Torleif Sorenson on 1/29/15
Dave Wood is an amateur golfer who participated in the Phoenix Open's pro-am on Wednesday — and bested everybody else, including the professionals, at the 16th hole. This is certainly a memory for a lifetime, but his wallet is going to be bruised, too. Great shot, Dave. :) Have you seen an interesting golf story? Tell us about it!  Torleif Sorenson says:An excellent question. Even if it was limited to his playing partners, their caddies, marshals, Tour staff, etc., that could get rather expensive. When *you* made *your* ace, how many beverages did you have to buy? 1/29/15

 MSchad says:@Torleif: I only had to buy 3. It was Sunday morning and the bar/restaurant was filled the the church crowd for breakfast. We did get some strange looks ordering beer @ 9:00 am on a Sunday. 1/29/15
mustang6560 says:It's easy to ace a hole with *your* clubs. It's much more difficult to do it with your friend's clubs. Therefore, I think it counts double! 1/30/15
