Jim Furyk finishes T2 at Bridgestone Invitational

Jim Furyk earned his fifth top 10 finish of the 2012 PGA Tour season Sunday at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational.
He led the field at Firestone Country Club for 71 holes, but a double bogey on the 72nd hole gave Keegan Bradley his third PGA Tour win of his young career. Despite the frustration on the final hole, Jim remained upbeat following his T2 finish.
"I led the golf tournament the entire way and lost it on the very last hole," Furyk said. "To get that close and to know that I played more than good enough to win the golf tournament, and not close the door, is disappointing. It is a cruel game. I've lost some tournaments in some pretty poor fashions, but I don't think I've let one ever slip nearly as bad as this one. This was my worst effort to finish off an event."With his T2 finish, Jim moved up nine spots in the FedExCup Standings to number 16, which puts him in a great position to win the FedExCup Cup for the second time in his career. Jim won the season long points race two years ago with a magnificent sand-save from the greenside bunker at the 18th at East Lake Golf Club.
We'll be rooting for Jim this week and he looks to return to major championship form for the 94th PGA Championship at Kiawah Island.
