HUSBAND AND WIFE-TO-BE WIN - SAME COURSE, SAME DAY

We at SkyGolf don't know if any couple has ever accomplished what Australian Richard Green and Norwegian-born Marianne Skarpnord accomplished this weekend: The engaged couple won the men's and women's 2015 Victorian Opens, respectively, on the same course. On the same weekend.

Skarpnord struck first, triumphing in the Women's Victorian Open over Su Oh:


Then it was the men's turn — and although Richard Green had to go to a playoff, he got the victory over Nick Cullen:



Congratulations and best wishes for continued happiness to the couple. We just hope they can tolerate the viciously long flights between the greater Melbourne area and Norway, when it comes time to visit family.
