Formerly known as "Winona Country Club," this daily-fee course opened in 1920 with nine holes designed by Ben Knight. Later, Robert Trent Jones Sr. integrated seven of the originals with a second nine, while in 1994 Minnesota-based architect Joel Goldstrand redesigned the 18th hole, allowing for a new practice range.

The course is located just outside the Winona city limits, off Pleasant Valley Road.
