Great golf course.. greens can be very hard to read, and you may lose a few balls off the tee. not the cheapest in town.. but pace of play is good and has the feel of a private club when you arrive.

Got a great deal from the course website. Finished 18 in 2h44m as a twosome. Great views. Great elevation changes. Staff was friendly. Course was in great shape.
1 negative was the driving range. Range seemed to be under repair. Had to hit from mats.

Even though the greens were the fastest that I have ever played, the course and conditions were excellent.

Loved this course and golf experience. Challenging holes with nice vistas from the tee locations. Challenging course. Friendly staff and they send me nice follow up emails with golf tips that have come in handy.

Great price w/milary discount. Course layout, very nice, challenging if that's your game from the tips, nice from the blue tees. Awesome hospitality, greens are fun and true. I'll be back

I enjoyed the course very much. Since I am a Troon member, my rate was not the rack rate. However, the course is very well maintained everyone is very courteous as expected when paying a premium rate.

Maderas Golf Club is a hilly course tucked in a canyon housing community. The course has gotten a ton of accolades, but after playing it, I was not overly impressed. There are a lot of blind shots and you get poor framing from many of the tee boxes. There are certainly some pretty and interesting holes (5, 14, 18) but not nearly enough of them to command the green fee nor the praise. It's a test of golf, and luckily I was on my game so I shot my handicap, but I imagine a lot of people double or triple their handicap here and lose a lot of balls (In preparation for this, the pro shop gives you a sleeve of ProV1's with your green fee). As Troon courses go, you get friendly attentive service and everyone knows your name, but that isn't enough to make the golf course better. The course is not walkable. I don't mind target style golf courses in canyons, because they are usually secluded and peaceful, but this canyon style course had houses around the course (huge ones). Decent course, but really poor value.
