Longwood GC is a 27-hole co-design between former PGA Tour player Keith Fergus and University of Houston golf coach Harry Yewens. The fairways run through dense forest, which makes each hole fairly secluded, while the small-ish, well-bunkered greens were designed not to be too punishing to higher-handicap players. Likewise, four sets of tees are designed to accommodate a variety of skill levels.

It is typically rated among the top daily-fee courses in the Houston area; Golf Digest's "Places to Play" staff have rated Longwood 4.0 stars. A variety of memberships, lesson programs, corporate meeting and wedding facilities also are available.

Fairways recently punched...but course lay out was nice. Problem was with the less than welcoming greeting, especially from the starter...which set the tone for the rest of the round. Bar staff were great though.

Drought has really taken a toll on this course. Many dead trees. Greens had been punched and sanded, not the greatest.
