This is one of five courses owned by the City of Virginia Beach, although each is separately leased and operated.

George Cobb was the original architect of this course, which underwent a renovation in 2006 by Kevin Tucker. All greens were rebuilt and seeded with bent grass, fairways were rebuilt for better drainage, and new wetland areas and lakes were also incorporated into the redesign.
