Located 20 minutes south of Calgary, Highwood G&CC offers a 27-hole course, a practice facility with a 3-hole junior course, a large range with target greens, a chipping green that includes a practice bunker (!), a full-service restaurant, and a pro shop. The course itself features large cottonwood trees, ponds with fountains, the Highwood River, and (obviously) views of the Canadian Rocky Mountains.

The club hosted the 2009 Alberta Senior Men's Amateur Championship (Frank van Dornick, -6/204).
