Good value for twilight rate
They need to put proper sand in the bunkers no way the SW should be covered in dirt after a bunker shot lots of rocks too!

Nice course, but pace of play can vary, sometimes 5.5 hours sometimes 3 hours
definitely worth it to try out. greens are really difficult and fast.
2013 Update - pace of play is getting out of hand, weather is partly to blame, cart path only rule, GPS on carts partially work, lack of marshalling. The Bear has a really big issue with allowing people to play from the blue tees. It is far to difficult for 90% of the regular golfers. Distance off the tee is not an issue, however the angle of the tee boxes make it exponentially harder than any other city courses at the same length. Also add to the fact that you don't get any roll from your drives. They were suppose to do mixed tees this year, but that didn't happen, more false promises to the members.
My advice would be to eliminate the white tees, keep the blue tee boxes for all par 5s and par 3s. Holes 1,3,5,9,12,18 put the blue tees where the whites are. Enforce a 4H15M round time!!!
The snack shop is a joke, half the time they run out of hot dogs and smokies.

Great Shape early in the year, no temporary greens. Expensive course for what you get, but does offer variety in the layout.
The mosquitoes were out and hungry in May - don't forget your spray.

Great course. In great shape early in the year. Might not be worth $105 during the week or $125 on weekends. But is a challenge and at the same time a fair assessment of a golfers skills.

Sorry but I do not see how this course is twice as much as most public courses. It is a nice course but it is not worth $100+ dollars, maybe $70

Great Parkland course in great condition up to the green. Greens are pot marked from lazy golfers not fixing divots (wankers). Their twilight rate of $65.00 (plus GST) is a great value. Choose your tees wisely. I played blues and they were too much for me.

I reviewed in 2009 at an overall 3 stars - that now deserves an upgrade. Since then, this Jack Nicklaus track has improved its irrigation situation tremendously and brought the "pristine" back to one of the Edmonton area's best layouts. Love playing this course - it is, as expected from Nicklaus, a true test of golf and a wonderful facility.

If you want 5 hour weekend round go for it. I won't do it again.
