Big open fairways. One of my fave courses in Niagara

I was told my 9:30am tee time included range balls, OOPS - range wasn't cut and wasn't open until after my tee time, sorry about your luck.
The pro-shop staff was unhelpful and didn't meet my expectations for a "resort" of this calibre, if not for the starter (Stewie) and the grounds crew (friendly gentlemen cutting the greens), my experience would have been a complete train-wreck.
Pro's: Even though the group I was paired up with tee'd off at 8:45, instead of 9:30, Stewie suggested that I tee-off from the back 9, which worked out great. It felt that I was playing my own private (soggy) course. Stewie was generous enough to provide me with a Course Guide, which helped me tremendously in club selection. The greens were smooth and true.
Con's: how in the world does a business advertise a range, yet not have it open atleast an hour before the earliest tee-off time is beyond my comprehension and the reason for my extreme dissatisfaction with today's round. Lastly, the course was so swamped and soggy, that I plugged everyone of my tee-shots into the fairway (no roll), and some fairways were so bad that I actually was unable to find my plugged ball. How frustrating to hit a nice tee ball down the centre of the fairway, only to loose it..
Would I recommend this course? Conditionally. If you want to play it during peak season and can afford the peak rates, I assume that at full staff & dry, this course would be impeccable.
