The first nine holes of this private course have been variously credited to Willie Watson (1955) and Dick Phelps (1957), although the firm of Harrison, Brauer & Rippel apparently deserve credit for the second nine holes here in 1965. In 2003, the Phelps-Atkinson firm was brought in to redesign the 12th hole and construct a pond, which earned CSCC the status of certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.

The course is located just northeast of North Union Boulevard at North Circle Drive; access is from Templeton Gap Road. Visitors are permitted only as guests of members.

This is a beautiful mature course with trees, great views of the Front Range - including Pikes Peak. You might see deer foraging around due to the course being located along Palmer Park. Not too difficult but still challenging.
