The course is well layed out similar to a Scottish style links & plays just like one with long runs on very firm bare fairways, the greens are large and undulating but run true, pin placements when we played were typical Medal / Open Comp positions ie tucked tightly into corners, on slopes etc, the bunkers were generally very firm with little sand & the best way to escape them was by chipping. Overall though good solid test that requires thought, it's not a driver on every par 4 course and was best played using a variety of irons, everything from long irons through to wedges were used off the tees.
