West Sussex GC is also known locally as 'Pulborough' and opened in 1931. Luminaries such as Bernard Darwin, Henry Longhurst, and Donald Steel have commented favorably about the course, which has sandy, well-draining soil but runs over a heathland setting.

Visitors and societies are welcome via advance arrangement. Peak-season (April-October) fees on weekdays are £70/round or £90/day, while on weekends the rates are £80 and £100. Society packages are posted on the club's web site.
