This course opened in 1899, although during the 1930s, some minor renovations to the course were done. A hotel is also on-site and offers stay-and-play packages.

Standard walking rates are £22 weekdays and £28 weekends (carts are £20). Playing as the guest of a club member is £10, while the summertime twilight rate is £11.
