Located just outside Troon, this 18-hole course is a picturesque blend of links and heathland terrain and has served as a Final Qualifying venue for the Open Championship on several occasions. A total of 27 holes are here and are played using four different configurations. The Hillhouse stands as a separate 9-hole course whenever the Barassie Links is in play.

Visitors are welcome on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, while limited tee-times are available on Wednesdays and on weekends. All visitors must play from the yellow tees, as well. Advance booking is required. The summer walking rates are £60/round or £80/day on weekdays, then £70/round on weekends. Junior and winter rates are offered.

Although Barassie is in close proximity to eminent company (Western Gailes, Dundonald etc)I beleve the whole package of value, testing challenging holes and fantastic hospitality, make Barassie, for me, to be the shining star.
