Formerly known as Timilick Tahoe Golf Course, Schaffer’s Mill Club (chartered as private) is currently allowing limited non-member play. Information is available on their new web site and via telephone (posted above).

The course debuted in August 2008 and was ranked as "#1 Best New Private Course in California" by GolfWeek magazine shortly thereafter. The late architect John Harbottle and consultant Johnny Miller designed this course, which runs through tall pines with two distinct nines. The outward "Meadow" nine ambles through firs, spruce and Ponderosa at the base of a ridge, while the inward "Mountain" nine features elevation changes of up to 400 feet, with 360° views of the Martis Valley, Lookout Mountain, and the Carson Range. Some locals consider it the finest golf course in the Tahoe and Truckee area.
