Golf has been played here at least since 1898; the club as it exists today dates to at least December of 1900. The course and property are now owned by the famous All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, which hosts the annual Wimbledon Championships.

Visitors are welcome on weekdays at £70/round, although Merton residents and guests of members enjoy various discounts. On weekends, visitors must be introduced and play as a guest of a member at £25/round. Societies and corporate groups are welcome on Tuesdays and Thursdays with prior booking.

If your looking for south London golf that provides challenge & quality turf then you do a lot worse. My first visit was all good with excellent hospitality and food 1/2 way and after the round.Booking in advance is necessary & if you need a wide fairway this may not float your boat.
