This course opened in 1932 with nine holes designed by five-time Open champion J.H. Taylor, while the second nine opened in 1955 with work done by Leonard Fisher. The course has at least one tie to World War II; a bomb crater is in play on the 12th fairway.

Visitor walking rates are £25 weekdays and £30 on weekends. Societies are welcome with prior arrangement.

The course has improved considerably thanks to the hard work done by our new green keeper Elliot and his staff. Greens are immaculate and fairways are exceptional compared to 2 years ago.
