This remarkable course began life in the 1960s as "Blue Mountain Meadows Golf Course." But the owners called in architects Forrest Richards and Arthur 'Jack' Snyder were hired to redesign the course. When the new Hideout GC opened in 2003, the result was so compelling that several golf publications began including it in their national rankings of Top-50 public-access courses. The diving-and-swirling elevation changes are of special note and have helped increase the popularity of the course.

While some courses are notable for their wildlife, the course's teaching pro, Ty Ivins, reports that some of the deer around the Hideout are so tame that they will practically eat out of your hand.

The standard 18-hole walking rate here is $27; carts are $15/person. Junior and senior rates are available, as are season passes.
