Landsmeer means "Lake of the Land" in the Dutch language, reflecting both the unique Dutch heritage of Orange City, and the nature of the golf course.

The prairie style course sprawls over 160 acres of rolling hills. It features bent grass greens and blue grass fairways lined with tall, rippling native grasses - thus the "lake" effect. Two lakes and streams provide challenges on the front nine, while the back side offers a more links style atmosphere.
