Nice and challenging course. LaCrosse is a SAND GREENS course. For those not familiar, hte greens are sand and must be raked prior to and after putting. Pretty novel idea and VERY different. Excellent value for $6 green fees - ALL DAY. As of July 7th, 2010 there had been plenty of rain and the Buffalo Grass fairways are green & lush. The fairways are wide & forgiving for the most part. Holes 1, 3, 4, 8 & 9 can bring the creek into play.
LaCrosse hosts a GREAT Labor Day tournament, usually a 3-person scramble with very nice prizes.
