I've played nine holes on about 5 occasions. They plugged and aerated the greens last week, but put "zero" sand on the greens. The plugs are about 1/2 inch diameter and makes the greens essentially unputtable. Without sand, it will take forever to heal and no sand means no smoothing or settling. The greens will remain bumpy all summer. Not sure what the superintendant is trying to achieve other than aerate. The greens may be softer but the lack of sand to counteract the plugs is frustrating. Fairways need some significant weed control.
