We started at 82°, humid and a slight 5 mph breeze. This is a round that was waiting to happen, I believe. I started well enough, but as soon as I put that driver in my hands the round went into the dumper! A pull-hook was the culprit on #3, but the effects of that one stayed with me the entire save, save for #13. I became so paranoid about the driver that I forgot to take in the annual "speeding" of the greens, where the greens become "slicker-than-whale-snot" and controlling the speed of the putts becomes almost impossible--hence the 5 3-putts. One of these days I'm going to get my head out of its current location and play the type of golf that I know I'm capable of. Oh well, lesson learned (I hope). My next round is early Tuesday morning (I have skin cancer surgery in the afternoon) so hopefully I can get the sour taste of this round out of my by that time! I'll stay positive though!
