Started at 81°, humid and a strong 4 mph breeze. My putting was a bit problematic this morning as I missed a couple very makeable putts that would have been for birdie or par. My short game let me down some today, but there is going to be days like that, I guess. I just reread everything I just wrote and if you went by nothing but what I wrote you would think that I played my worst round ever! I don't mean to "cry," but not everything went according to plan. I suppose I can't complain too much, but I sure do hate making a "hash-up" of a round like this. My tempo was consistent and my mental game was pretty good. All in all, not a bad round for an "old-timer" and gave very close to shooting my age for the 9th time this year. That spells "success," does it not? I'm a happy camper!
