Started at 61°, overcast skies, and a comfortable 4 mph breeze, which soon escalated to 14 mph. I played pretty well on the front, despite being disrespected by one of our playing partners, but I let him get my "goat" on the inward nine, which more than likely accounted for the back nine score. Several lessons learned, and I'm sure he also learned his! I won't us this as an excuse but I was running a little "hot." Tomorrow is another day and another round, but this time I'll be in the company of some pretty good golfers who are going to try to lighten my wallet by playing "wolf." We'll see how that goes! Anyway, enough about this round. I'll file it away in the circular file, chew on my lessons, and I'll be fresh for tomorrow.
Robert Palmer says:I can avoid the "fool." The choice is always mine, but should he try to force the issue I'm not beyond "laying him out where he once stood." I'm pretty mellow, but the older I get the closer to the surface my "flash point" seems to be!
