Our city-owned, 18-hole golf course was designed in 1973 by golf course architects W. Bruce Matthews and Jerry Matthews (past present of the American Society of Golf Course Architects). The course opened for play on May 19, 1975. It was designed to appeal to golfers of varying ages and abilities and is the busiest 18-hole municipal course in the state. The St. Clair Shores Country Club rests on approximately 100 acres and the overall playing distance is 6,040 yards.

Nice muni course. SkyGolf360 score card not correct. Par 70, not 72. 2 holes incorrect on front (#s 4 & 5), one incorrect on back (#16).

Nice city course with smooth large greens and good fairways. Some water and traps come into play on several holes. Mostly used by retirees.

Above average municipal course. Short by modern standards. The challenge? Almost always windy, some water in play, and fast, deceptive greens.

Not much to look at, but the guys really keep the course in good shape and twilight starts at 4pm on the weekends.
