We thoroughly enjoyed playing the Ocean North course. The course is challenging and well maintained but most of all it was pleasant and the views are spectacular. I recommend playing this course and look forward to playing it again.

When Pelican reopened it was clear that they were trying to be "Pebble Beach South." I have news for them, it isn't even in the same league. The course has been open now for a few years and the fairways are still spotty and rough. At $300+ for a green fee you'd think they'd put a little more water and fertilizer on the course. Their sister course, Oak Creek, is 1/3 the price and in much better shape. The greens are good, a bit on the slow side, but roll true. The views are pretty good, but not Pebble-like. There are some fun driving holes where you have to hit across canyons, but none of these add up to being a great course. Definitely not worth more than $100 round.
