I see you still check in here occasionally. I think CeeBee and I are part of a handful of former oobers still regularly posting scores.

Sorry to hear of your recent struggles. Surely, it's temporary. Take a break, go watch the Masters and start fresh sometime next week, or later. Go back to basics, and/or get help from someone you trust. As you have said to me in the past, we've all been there before.
Time for a change of pace. That usually does the trick. You are pressing, now. You don't just lose it overnight unless there is an injury. Right now, it seems you are on a very low wave of your golf-algorithm, but they are constantly changing. Things will come back.

Why bogey on the last four? If you didn't play them you are supposed to take a gross score equal to net par for any unplayed holes (provided you played a minimum of 14). In that case, your last four unplayed holes would work out to par, par, bogey, bogey, with a 10 course-handicap, no? Has that changed since we moved to the 2020 World Handicap System? I know that's the way it was last year before we switched to the WHS.

Just realized my original score was wrong. So I edited it to correct it. I birdied 15th with a 7 iron to 6 feet and a nice breaker, dead center. Had a par marked on card. When I looked at the stats I only saw one birdie, yet I knew I had two.

Very Nice Brian. And didn't this just back up a 74 at Hudson Mills? See, you still have it in you. And I still aspire to have your game. I'm working on it. Been working on it since I started keeping tabs on you at Oob, 10 or so years ago. You had, have and always will have my golf respect. I don't just throw that around to anyone. It has to be earned. And you did so early on. Congrats. Keep up the good work.

How the hell do you keep shooting all these 70s scores and your handicap rises? Doesn't make sense. What the hell is the slope rating you're playing? If I shot as many great scores at Worthington as you do at Jonathan's Landing (and others up there), I'd have a 1 or 2 index. I just don't get how you shoot so many 70s and have an 11.2 cap. Doesn't compute.
I shot like an 81, 82, 80 and a 79 from the blues tees since posting season began and somehow my handicap dropped a tenth. Officially at 5.8 as of yesterday's update.

I checked out the Grint and signed up. Not really a fan but the only way to stay current with you guys. Don’t want to enter scores on both sites but may for awhile. Hate to basically start over with over 1100 rounds recorded in SG.
Remember how Oob tallied up all the eagles, birds and pars? Does any site do that? Damn I miss Oob!

No more posting on Skygolf I assume. Grint better? Can you transfer rounds over? I miss Oob. Remember when it showed eagles, birdies and pars over all rounds played?

"Back late next month, hopefully, for some better golf"... AFTER RESTING MY BODY FOR SEVERAL WEEKS!! ;)
Decent round despite the marginal conditions. No doubles, no "6's" and in the 70's. Two thumbs up.

Mr. "Seventy" sounds a lot better than Mr. "95". Thanks. We have both been on a small recovery streak.

Your standards are much higher than mine. I was running around calling myself "Mr. 77" the other day. ;)

We got permission to go back out as the pins and tees will be adjusted tomorrow.

Nice playing. Feels good to nail a shot when everyone is paying attention.

Thanks for the kind words and I will be sure to post a few words on LG in the next day or two.
We went north to scout out the locations for our annual State Open Amateur tournament.

They're trying to give the regular blue and white tee boxes a few weeks to heal. They were both pretty beat up from all the play they regularly get. The way it's set up now, the blues are playing 6700-6800 yards and the whites are playing about 5400. One is too long, the other too short. The par 3s are really my biggest complaint. I can deal with the extra distance of the par 4s and 5s.
