I have decided to go to the range today to work on smaller full swings, if I can. I'm only going to hit my wedges and maybe my 8 iron. I'm not going to push things but I need to start "expanding" a bit more. If it hurts I'll quit, but I've set a target date of Dec 1st to start playing again, even if it is poorly, and see where we are at that point. If I don't try I'll never know.

TY, great advice. The stats came from using the game tracker setting, where every shot is tracked, and can be very useful. Giant drawback is that I must be consistent with marking every shot, so if I skip one, or two, things get a bit skewed.

I read you comment and it motivated me to give a short dissertation - sorry for the length, though there's much more that I could add. Believe me, I truly appreciate your input and I try to incorporate it into my thought process. I apologize for the fact that during the stress of figuring out what was awry, I too often resort to my inner 'coach'. Sometimes I don't like 'him' but he's always THERE! Of course, you and I know that if the pitching is off, so is the bunker play. Too long, I know. :>(
